I can't believe I forgot to post these! Based on a long-held personal headcanon of mine that Dr Carmilla did not have the sufficient materials or time to recreate Drumbot Brian's original body when she first made him, and so...she got creative. Redesign Ver 1 is still kept on the Aurora, in case anything happens to Brian's current preferred form and he needs something to move around in temporarily, but he's fairly diligent about repairs and maintenance so most of the times the octokittens just use it play in.

The older I get, the less I like blank neutral-coloured interior design. I get why some people like them, but the more I've moved from apartment to apartment, the more blank, white-walled neutrality only says one word to me: Rental. It's neutral and sterile to be palatable for as many people as possible, the previous tenant wasn't allowed to leave their mark there, and neither am I allowed to mark it as my own. I don't know about owning a home, but the more I live, the more I'd like to have the freedom to, like, idk paint shit on the walls. Floral patterns and stuff, mark a place as my own. The only reason why I would want a white-walled interior like this:
